Về tác phẩm "ĐỘI QUÂN TÓC DÀI"
"1967-1968 tôi sống và vẽ trong lòng các cuộc đấu tranh để ngăn cản tội ác man rợ chưa từng thấy của Mỹ Ngụy. Chúng tàn sát nhân dân bằng mọi thứ vũ khí tối tân nhất, bất kể ngày hay đêm. Quê hương ruộng vườn, hoa màu, cây trái bị cày xới. Nhân dân chỉ có một con đường: Đoàn kết lại đem tất cả tang vật đấu tranh trực diện với kẻ thù, đòi quyền sống. Tôi cho rằng thời ấy nhân dân ta, triệu triệu người dù chỉ đầu trần chân đất, vì quyền sống thiết thân, không biết sợ là gì, đã vùng dậy đứng lên đòi quyền con người.
Tôi đã làm đi làm lại đến lần thứ 4 bức tranh này."

About the Artwork "The Long-Haired Army"
"In 1967-1968, I lived and painted amidst the struggles to stop the unprecedented brutal crimes of the American puppet regime. They massacred the people using the most advanced weapons, regardless of day or night. The homeland, fields, crops, and fruit trees were destroyed. The people had only one option: to unite and bring all their belongings to fight directly against the enemy, demanding the right to live. I believe that at that time, our people, millions of them, despite being barefoot and without hats, stood up for the essential right to live, with no fear at all.
I have created and recreated this painting four times."

The artwork "The Long-Haired Army," oil on canvas, was created in 1967-2001 with dimensions 150cm x 450cm.
It will be presented at the Immortal Spring Exhibition at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum from March 14-20, 2025.
